Why is the answer 2y/x^2 and not 2x^-2*y?
x^(-a) = 1/x^a
x^(-2) = 1/x^2
Therefore, 2y/x^2 and 2x^(-2)y are equal
But often, you will be asked to use positive exponents, so it's best to answer 2y/x^2
